In
research of the roots of the Stachoske family I went back to the end of the 19th
century. The place was Janufka in Russia.
A family with at least two male ancestors must have lived there. One of them was
my great-grandfather who did at the age of 66. Left behind were two sons and two
daughters who all moved towards West Europe. Due to the two world wars the
families lost contact and family ties.
According to my information one of my great-grandfathers brother and his wife
must have moved from Russia to Canada in the year of 1900. The at that time 25
year old Jottler Stachoske and his seven year younger
wife Emma Stachoske can be found in the census in
Alberta in 1906, which I have found on the Internet.
Further names, which I found on the Internet also in conection with the area
Canada/North America are:
Reinhold Stachoske († 05/03/1951) and
Christine Stachoske († 01/15/1984).
This information came from the death register of Winnipeg, Canada. These two
individuals were probably married since they were according to papers buried at
the same site.
Siegfried Stachoske († 1975), without known residence
or further information.
Candice Stachoske in connection with Choquet-te
of North America.
I also found a Vickie Stachoske as a candidate in a
document for a 2003 election for the library administration in Londonderry,
New Hampshire. She had the office before the election also according to the document.
Getting in contact with her through the address of the library has been unsuccessful
so far. Unfortunately I didn't get any answer to my e-mail and fax.
If someone knows any of the mentioned names above and could give me any information
concerning their families and relatives I would appreciate it very much if you would
contact me. Of course I would love to get information about other family members from
other regions in the world also.
Other versions of the name through translations of documents from Russian to German
are also Stachoski or Stachowski.
Many thanks to all who would like to help me with the research of the family tree of
the Stachoske families.
